Mondays Musings

I had quite a busy weekend just working on projects in the studio.  I got several eggs done, as well as a quilt top and got another almost done.  Will finish it today as well as start the big quilt machine up and get some of these tops quilted.  I have one more egg kit to do and actually have it started and hopefully it will get done today or tomorrow.  Then all I have left in the eggs is stuff that I am designing for classes or eggs that I want to submit  for judging.   I think I have about 5 of them that I need to work on.  I am trying to get some ready for the shows for next year and use up some supplies that I have,  since I seem to be a collector of them.

I am still on track in the quilting area, as I am just working right down the line of all the quilts that I have to do so that I get most of the 25 that have been on the board for the last 4 years done.  Then I can just relax a bit, since I will be trying to just do one or two  a month, instead of one to two a week.

I have started up painting again,  over the week end, I just did some water colors,  trying to improve technique.  Some came out quite good,  others well,  that’s why I am practicing.  I have several paintings that I have done, and would love to get them hung up in the house.  Need to work on that.

Hopefully this coming month, I will be working on getting another cookbook together.  I am still finishing up some recipes in the first book, and taking photos so that I can get it sent off to the publisher.  I will be doing the same for this one.  But it will clean out two drawers and a butter churn that are full of notes as well as three bags in the studio that have more notes.

Well,   that’s all the news from the south,
Happy” farming” to all the farm girl sisters out there.
See you next time down on the farm.
