For the first time in a long time, I have felt like going outside and doing some work in the yard. So, I went out and played wack a doodle on some of the crepe myrtle trees, cleaning up the bottom form the small growth and trimming back the other bushes that seemed to be a little out of control. I also wrangled the jasmine vine out of the pine trees and back onto the arbor, and I tried to get the grapevine down and onto the arbor, but it is being stubborn. It may just get cut.
I also spent some time cleaning up the watering system for the chickens it had gotten clogged with calcium from the water supply and the float had stopped working. But it is resolved now, and the chickens are much happier.
The garden is growing and I will update the photos tomorrow. I have a volunteer sunflower that is massive and taking over the pepper patch. It is a multiple bloom flower and I can not wait until it blooms.
Well, that’s all the news from the south,
Happy” farming” to all the farm girl sisters out there.
See you next time down on the farm..
