I have been on a roll, still getting things done. By tonight I should have the Christmas stocking done, and also some peppers put up. Tomorrow I want to put up some pickles and then harvest the cabbage as it is getting a bit to warm for it. The cabbage will be made into sauerkraut and put up for later. My last batch turned out great andI was really happy with it. I am also going to get some onions put up and saved somehow. I don’t really want to pickle them so got to think of something else to do.
When I went out to the shop yesterday I finally saw the hawk that had been hanging around for two days. He was really close to the house, so I ran back inside and got my camera. and started taking photos. He could hear the shutter going off and so quickly zeroed in on where I was. I did get some really great photos of him/her before she/he decided to finally fly away. I think that the hawk had be calling to find their mate but was not getting a reply. They did come back a bit latter but did not get where I could get photos of them.
It is getting warm enough in my room even with all the lights off that the computer wants to shut down. I have brought the big fan up to help circulate air around it so that it won’t happen, but I am wondering if the fans inside of the computer are working? I need to get down on the floor and check, the problem is getting back up of the floor.. So I guess that I will think of a way to do it.
Well, that’s all the news from the south,
Happy” farming” to all the farm girl sisters out there.
