Goodness, things are just not going well here. I have just found out that I need to remove a huge pecan tree that is 150 years old because it has rotted in the middle. I am not amused as this was the tree that I used to climb as a girl and sit and read in while Dad worked on something in the barn or chased the cows around. I will plant another one in its place but not as close to the barn as this one is so that the limbs will not get in the way.
Then as I was out checking the property line, I found 4 fence posts broken off at the ground level all right next to each other. so someone at some time had to smash into them because posts just don’t break like that, Not all at one time. but I also managed to scare a baby fawn who was lying in the grass just a few feet away, It was still young enough to have spots and boy did it take off running to the woods to where Momma was probably waiting.
My DH just fixed my rocking chair that is a glider rocker and also swivels. that almost took an act of Congress to get the new ball bearing part on and the chair reassembled. But it is fixed and I am happy about that. Now to get some artwork done so that I can stay caught up.
Well, that’s all the news from the south,
Happy” farming” to all the farm girl sisters out there.
See you next time down on the farm.
