Mondays musings

I managed to get a few photos of the baby birds one with his mouth open. so I was happy about that. My cousin also stopped by for a visit on his way home to Canada and loved taking a walk with me through the woods and the farm. He was really amazed at what all we had done since my mom had died. He said that the place was like a park, a few picnic tables and i would be set to go. ( he did not see them under the big oak tree.

I got 16 pint jars of orange marmalade made over the weekend and I am really pleased how they turned out. I will be eating marmalade for about a year or so. I will probably make some strawberry jam here in a few weeks as well because I really love that too. The chickens gave me 24 eggs this weekend so i am in no worry about running out any time soon.

I spent quite a bit of time this morning working on some of my genealogy, on my Dads side. I am trying to figure out my grandmothers side of the family and how many of them there were that stayed in London right before the war. (WW1). and what might have happened to them I need to find a few more census reports to help round out the information.

Well, that’s all the news from the south,
Happy” farming” to all the farm girl sisters out there.
See you next time down on the farm.
