That was a busy weekend. I got the signed contract for the loggers to start working, and as of 8am they have, There are already two log trucks being loaded and trees being cut so the fun has begun.I am mostly getting paid for chip and saw which at the moment has a very good price. So I would say that opportunity struck and I jumped on it.
I also got some painting done this weekend and I really love how they turned out. I don’t even think that I can say that I have a favorite. I still need to take photos of them so that will happen later today. I have lots of clay work to sit down and do and that is on the schedule for today and tomorrow and maybe longer. I am not sure where I am in the challenge, and I want to get back on track with it. So several dragons and ladies heads and hope bottles are getting done. The room is so much better with now room to work and I am much happier with it. I can actually see myself sitting down and getting some beading and some embroidery done in the next weeks.
The garden is a mess, the luffa sponges are growing out of control, I will have lots of those to play with later. but it looks like something has eaten the leaves off the tomatoes and they are nothing but sticks. So that will have to be replanted I think.the cucumbers are nowhere to be seen and the rest has gone to weeds. I don’t even think that the beans have survived. So now it is time to clean up and get the garden ready for fall. I think we can plant in about a month or so.
Well, that’s all the news from the south,
Happy” farming” to all the farm girl sisters out there.
See you next time down on the farm..
