Wow, I feel better today and now see the light at the end of the tunnel on this course and have great plans for what I intend to do next. Of course it rained all day yesterday and the temps stayed around 50 degrees. and I caught a chill. so now I am drinking plenty of hot chocolate to warm myself back up. I actually have several courses coming to an end right now, and so I now intend to focus on getting some books read and also getting the new business up and running.
The garden is progressing slowly. I did get more planted, the luffa sponges, the birdhouse gourds and the cushaw squash. With all the gentle rain yesterday I am hoping that they will start growing soon. I have some large black buckets to fill up so that I can plant some herbs. Then onto weeding other parts of the garden to plant other flowers and such. I am still waiting for seeds to come from a company that I ordered from. But I am about to give up and just get things that I want to put in from the big box stores or Tractor Supply. I still have all the sunflowers to plant too, lots of them.
Turkey season started Saturday and all day yesterday there were turkeys in the back yard because of the rain. They were interesting to watch as they ran around getting bugs out of the ground. I will need to get the camera and other equipment and go up to the blind later this week and see if I can get some good photos of them and maybe some deer. There is a photo challenge going on and I would like to see if I could get a photo or two to enter. Not that I might win, but just to enter would be thrilling enough. I really enjoy seeing the photos that others do and wish I lived in an area that I could get some of the same shots.
Well, that’s all the news from the south,
Happy” farming” to all the farm girl sisters out there.
See you next time down on the farm..
