We have had thunderstorms for the past 4 days and have averaged about 1.5 inches a day. To say the ground is a bit soggy would be an understatement. In fact as I write this now, it is raining and thundering.
I got two quilts done over the weekend and am now finishing up the silver linings quilt. I have decided that I needed to take one whole day this week and work out in the studio, cleaning, picking up and finishing a few projects that really need to be done. Then I can get on with getting more quilts done. Up next is the Tulip quilt that I started over 30 years ago. every thing is cut, it just needs to be applicayed down and the borders put on. There are 35 blocks to be done, so I think I might be just a bit busy with this one. I also have another one that I want to get done that is from a magazine. and I have two farm-girl quilts to be put together.
I spent part of the weekend tearing apart and re putting together a model train engine house. I had to do a lot of finish work to get it where it needed to be, as well as re-fabricating some of the pieces. I almost have it done and will take it back in on Thursday to the Club house and put it in place. At least it won’t look like some child had tried to put it together.
I have gotten behind in some projects while I have gotten ahead in others. I guess that there is no happy medium to all the things that I want to get done.
Well, that’s all the news from the south,
Happy” farming” to all the farm girl sisters out there.
See you next time down on the farm..
