The turkey and the deer are really enjoying the rain, the grass is growing really fast and the bugs are coming up to the top to keep from drowning. So both animals are eating and they are coming right up to the back door to eat, because it is there, it is good grass.
Got some more things done, like dehydrating herbs. so far I have Rosemary done and some Oregano, Now starting on some Lambs ears, and peppers. and then on to some Thyme. I hope that this year to be able to have both fresh and dried herbs for the house. I don’t need lots, just a few done here and there. Lambs Ear is used medicinally in stopping blood and is antibacterial in it properties. I love keeping it in the shop for when I accidentally cut myself with something sharp or stab myself the same way. Of course the others are used for cooking. and I love using herbs to help with flavors in my meats.
I am off to the beach for a few days to visit with family. I enjoy the beach when there is not a lot of people around, so early in the morning, or late evening, is when I love to go walk and look for shells. Hopefully I will find some neat shells this week.
