It is  a very true thought. if you don’t have blood family,  you make your own family out of friends and others who support you in your life.   I know because I did not have the best mum in the world and so I found others who cared about me and became surrogate mums for me.  These women not only cared about me but loved me and told me things that my mum did not.  That I could be someone great,  and that I could do the things that I wanted to,  like paint and draw and even if I decided not to make a living doing those things,  they were still important to my being, my world so to speak.

Being artistic give me my down time.  my time to really be myself. to sit down and paint,  whether water colors or acrylics or oils,  brings me a peace that I don’t always find.  I love doing my other crafts,  but the painting is my soul.  I love the peace and quiet that it brings to me,  especially when I am home alone and just get to paint.

I hope that all of you have some type of family that love you and helps nurture you in whatever you do. I hope that you have a place that is your calm place,  whether you are artistic, or not.  Find your calm and that will help with finding your family and love.
