October is the fallen leaf, but it is also a wider horizon more clearly seen. It is the distant hills once more in sight, and the enduring constellations above them once again.
This month is flying by at a speed that I am no used to. the weather has just turned colder and the days are a bit crisper for Fl. I had lunch with one of the farmgirls, Winnie and we had the most delightful time discussing just about everything under the sun. Winnie and I try to get together at least one a month and eat at our favorite place, which is Cracker Barrel.. This lunch takes on the form of several hours of girl chat, as well as good food and a bit of shopping.
We got onto the discussion of candies, and those that were made here in the USA. We both agreed that we are trying our best to buy american made for just about anything you could think of, and candy was an important item to buy American made.
- Russell Stover Candies has been making chocolates in the USA for over 90 years. Offers sugar free varieties.

OF course, this is just a small list of all the american made candies. But it is nice to know that many of the candies or chocolates that we buy are made in America. ( Think I will do a series of different things that are American Made.)
