Well, I have been home about a week form the Egg show in Sacramento Ca. and have another one at the end of March in Rockford Illinois. But in the mean time I am trying to get things done here on the farm.
Things are starting to bloom out more and that is making me happy, The orange tree that is next to the studio, is in full bloom and the smell is wonderful. It is totally covered in blooms and we should have another bumper crop of oranges this year.. The mulberry tree is setting fruit and yes, I have already stole some to check it out, and they are nice and sweet. If I can keep the birds away, I will get some jam this year.
I figured out what one of the wild flower weeds was. Oxalis Articulata Shamrock . It looks a lot like clover. but has the prettiest purple flowers. It is actually growing wild here and blooms in Feb-March. My husband said he was going to spray them because he though they were like crab grass. NOOooooooo he now knows better.
sharing some other photos of the things blooming at the farm.
Well, that’s all the news from the south,
Happy” farming” to all the farm girl sisters out there.
See you next time down on the farm.
