Monday Musings- Photography

I do manage to get around and take photos which is something that I love to do.  I try to take photos of the farm daily,  even though in winter it is hard to get neat photos when everything looks rather drab.   I need to get out for a long walk in the woods and see what I can find. f1b75-dscn6254

I also always have a camera with me when I run errands, since I never know what I might find when I am out and about.  I also take loads of photos when I go on a trip of any kind.  What I really love taking photos of is flowers and using a macro lens to get a beautiful closeup.   I am due to take a vacation here soon, and you know that several cameras will be going with me so that I have plenty of photos of my trip.c14c5-dsc_8927

I have also participated in World Photo Day,  where you have a destination and a professional photographer that takes you to areas you might not think of going and may also provide models for you to practice with.  I have certainly enjoyed that experience. Not only have I learned more about a town that I loved, I have had the ability to take photos that I might not ever had the chance to take.e5dae-dscn4876

I hope that seeing some of my photos will inspire you to try to take some photos of your own.  They could be of houses on your street, a dinner that you love to make, flowers booming in the garden,  sunrises or sunsets,  just anything that catches your eye.

Well,  that’s all the news from the south,
Happy” farming” to all the farm girl sisters out there.
See you down on the farm.

  1. Winter in the warmer states doesn’t have to lead to blah photography. Experiment with your camera settings to take photos in black and white or sepiatone or some other “color” besides, well, color. This works especially well when taking landscape photos of areas of trees with no leaves. Of course, there’s always the “after-processing” using photo software, but that sometimes can get you into a rut. Break out and experiment!
