Tuesdays triumphs

Got out this morning in the muggiest weather and cut back the small oak trees so that they would start to grow new branches. I went to work on some of the plants in the butterfly garden as well and cut them back and tried to get that cleaned up a bit. Still needs work though. and of course we are supposed to have another freeze on Saturday night. I also worked on getting a few things done in my room so not a bad morning.

In the afternoon I went to check on the pond. We should be getting rain and the new well should be going in next week, but it is still down low. We did fish out some of the fish and froze them so that we don’t lose any. The whole time that I was there, the red tailed hawk was sitting in the tree right in front of me, and of course I did not have my camera to take the photo of him Soo mad at myself as I have a great camera, I just forget to pick it up and use it.

I am starting to get my stuff together for my trip to New Mexico this weekend and hope that everything goes as planned. I will be a bit late getting there, but thats what happens with Dr appointments and the like.

Well, that’s all the news from the south
Happy” farming” to all the farm girl sisters out there.
See you next time down on the farm.
