Tuesdays Triumphs

So, yesterday I took a ride down to the back to see the harvest back there. it is so muddy, that the harvester tractor is having to help push the loaded 45 Ton trucks up the small incline. We put 7 loads of lime rock down to help give them traction, and I almost go stuck with the little gator. It is a mess. The ground is gooey and sticky and the ruts are huge. It all has to be cleaned up before hunting season which is in a month.

I am still having to get used to the the field to the east being empty, I know that It won’t stay empty for long but still is a bit of a shock. But of course the deer and the turkeys are loving it because every night they are over there eating.

I did get some bead work done and now have pulled some more kits to work on so that I can start getting this area cleaned up. I think I have about 40 kits with all the beads put together, but nothing is made. This is a problem. I really need to start getting all this done, because some body might really love the necklace and want it. Since I am trying hard to get my business up and running I should keep the jewelry moving. I am learning a lot in my class on how to promote my sites, so that will come in handy when I open up the woocommerce store.

Well, that’s all the news from the south,
Happy” farming” to all the farm girl sisters out there.
See you next time down on the farm..

cleared field
dried gourds from this year
Luffa sponges drying

  1. Wow, that IS a shock! I’ve seen the farm harvested before, many times, actually, and like you it’s really a surprise to see the trees gone.

The gourds look good! YAY on the luffa! Those came out well this year.
