The rain has not stopped and probably won’t since we have a hurricane/tropical depression that is supposed to hit us tomorrow. All the swales are already full which means that we will have flooding. I believe that 441 which is a major North South artery will be closed by tomorrow because the water will be over the road, which means the alligators will be crossing the road. Along with the snakes. Nothing a trucker would want to run over.
Yesterday I made 8 pints of blueberry freezer jam as well as cooked most of the cushaw and got it frozen. I also washed all the extra plates that came from Aunt Dots apartment as well as tried to clean the stuff that came from there, my poor head is spinning. Aunt Dot died on friday at the age of 105 and 2.5 months. She was still with it in the end. and kept up with the stock market like no ones business. Oh to be able to have a life like that.
My flowers are blooming like crazy and I think tomorrow I am going to go and clip some to bring up to my room so that I can enjoy them for a few days. I certainly enjoyed the gardenias this year, and the zinnias would be wonderful to have up here.
Well, that’s all the news from the south,
Happy” farming” to all the farm girl sisters out there.
See you next time down on the farm..
