it is raining, and I do mean raining. the sky is pitch black and the thunder and lightning is, woo, rather amazing. I did spend time in the shop today getting one corner cleaned up and threw out a bunch of stuff and boy does it look better. I also worked on the quilt for about 1 hour and just about got it done. I hope to finish it tomorrow as well as attack the book shelves that are there and reorganize all of that because that would also be extremely helpful. I think that I can also move them out a bit which will still give me room in the shop to work, but also give me room behind them, where I have a desk to be able to get in there and work.

I threw out over two boxes of dead acrylic paint, and still have tons of it, so I need to start painting and get some things done. I also threw out dead resin and cleaned up that area so that I can work. even though it was just one corner of the room, it made the whole studio feel more open. I have this feeling that the more I get done the better I will like going out to the studio. Same with this room here, the small studio, the cleaner it is the more I get accomplished.

I have a few more paintings that I want to do this week, so with the rain coming down like it is , I think that I am going to do just that. I also want to finish up some bead work and some eggs. So a good day to curl up in the chair and work on those as well.
