Mondays musings

I spent the day in the shop finishing up getting organized and I think I can finally sit down and quilt. I hope so because I feel so far behind in getting stuff done. I did an art retreat over the weekend, which was really lots of fun. and we also made self care baskets. Things to put into a basket might range from your favorite tea and tea cup, bath salts or bath bomb, a coloring book and crayons, a nice blanket to snuggle under, a scented candle, a bag of scented sachet. a pretty rock or crystal that you love. A stuffed animal of some sorts, a good book of poetry, or something that you would like to read. Maybe a project you would like to work on, such as a small embroidery kit or some crochet. The whole purpose of the kit is so that when you are feeling down, you can pick something or things out of it and just relax your mind.

I also got caught up on several of the challenges that I am dong this year. the Pantone project is done and sent back to the person that is running it. I got several week ahead in the Fimo Challenge which is to make one thing a week. I will still make something each week but I will be ahead of everyone. I am doing a 7 day art challenge and I am caught up on that. I am going to work on my dragons more and some fairies so there is lots to be done with that. Next month I have three classes to do, so I am trying to make it so that I wont fall behind in the challenges.

I am still organizing my room so that it does not feel so crowded and overwhelming. I am still working on beadwork and eggs, as well as some quilling projects. I hope to have two of the bigger projects done this week. and I am trying to keep up with my reading. I am doing a challenge on the kindle to read so much a month and earning some badges too. So every night I try to read a book. or at lease several chapters. I have pleasure reading and different art books on the kindle, so I can always find something that I want to read.

Well, that’s all the news from the south,
Happy” farming” to all the farm girl sisters out there.
See you next time down on the farm..
