Wednesdays Words- DIY

I thought of another really cute pincushion this week and set about to make it.  All I needed was the candlestick,  which I had painted with silver paint.  To get the look of old Mercury glass,  you first spray the clear glass with water, and then quickly follow with the silver paint.  I do believe that You can also do this with other metallic paints  I have not yet tried other paints, but I think I probably will.

I cut the material in a large circle and started to glue it down to the card board base.  I then added the batting and finished gluing it.20200211_082926

I glued the base onto the top of the candle stick, and allowed it to dry.  While it was drying I ran the ribbon thru the lace doi ly to gather it up.

Then I placed the lace doily over the top of the stuffed material and tied it around the candle stick.  Thats all there was to it.20200211_142405

Hope you enjoyed this quick little DIY project and try to make one for yourself.
