Well, this is going to be an eventful Monday. I have Jury duty . Whee. I don’t mind but the timing is horrible. I really want to go with my husband to several of his Dr appointments, to make sure that he is OK, since I am having knee surgery on Thursday.
Other then that, the weather is chilly, and I have covered up the peppers and the tomatoes. I am hoping that they will do OK, since I really am looking forward to fresh homegrown tomatoes. We picked the first heads of Broccoli and they were quite tasty. We are still getting carrots from the garden, They are not big, but they are super sweet and I love just eating them.
I have ordered some seeds and some flowers to put in the garden for spring. I think we have about another month and half before we can direct sow the seeds. I really want to have some flowers, as I love having fresh cut flowers in the house.
I have rounded up lots of books to read and projects to do while I am recuperating from the surgery. I hope to get a lot of my work done, so that I don’t have it hanging over my head later.
Well, that’s all the news from the south,
Happy” farming” to all the farm girl sisters out there.
See you next time down on the farm..
