Mondays Musings

Well,  I spent the weekend in Cocoa beach attending the Prototype Rail convention.  It was interesting and fun.  I did learn a lot that will help me with doing my N scale layout.   The weather on the other hand was wild.  the wind was blowing and there was a storm watch flag up on the beach.   the wind was so bad that the lettuce on my sandwich took flight before it even reached the table, followed by my potato chips.  they all landed out in the parking lot.  I don’t usually have a problem eating outside,  but with wind like that, the hotel would have been better serving inside.  I had wanted to walk down to the beach to take some photos and look for some shells,  but with that wind, I would have been lucky to stay on my feet.

Hunting season is coming to an end this week,  We did get another deer off and it is being processed.  I would like to get one more, but I don’t know if they are going to cooperate.  I am going to keep going to the blind and try to get photo of some of the birds that we have here.  I am going to put a bird feeder up in a tree that is close by and also more the corn feeder near the tree and see what happens.

I have been working on my art journaling, and getting things caught up in my craft area.  The room is almost clean, and now if I get some projects done,  it will even look better.  I am still painting and enjoying that as well.  I am even getting some jewlery done.  So all in all the year is starting out great.

I have also been doing some crochet work.  I have gotten some beautiful silk sari ribbon from a place called Darn Good Yarn (https://www.darngoodyarn.com/).  They are a company that ethically sources their yarn and other supplies.  I really love the yarn from them.   I am going to make a market bag and then a 30 minute scarf.  I  would love it if all my friends would check them out.  I will share photos when I get them done.

Well,   that’s all the news from the south,
Happy” farming” to all the farm girl sisters out there.
See you next time down on the farm.
