Thanksgiving was quiet, I went out and sat in the blind in the morning, and took photos of the farm and all. Then I came back and fixed a pork roast with potatoes for dinner. we had a very pleasant afternoon, with just sitting around reading and doing other things.
I added some broccoli and cabbage to the garden, and got some more seeds for the spring. I am really looking forward to getting out and getting my hands dirty working in the garden this year. I love growing vegetables, as well as flowers, and love eating very fresh food almost as soon as it is picked for the garden. I have often said that the sooner you eat the vegetable, the sweeter it tastes. My dad was a firm believer in that as he was a farmers son, and worked in Agriculture his whole life. Think that is where I got my love for the farm. I also added some more hot peppers to the already growing mix of peppers. I can not wait to use them this year in some of my dishes.
I am slowly getting my desk in order, and throwing stuff away, so that it is easier to manage. I actually got it dusted for the first time in months. I know that sounds bad, but when you are working in and around the desk, sometimes you only see the clutter and not the actual desk. When I finally got the clutter off the desk, I could see the dust. I resolve to clean up more often, including the keyboard. Sometimes I wonder how it still works. It has had beads spilled in it, material dust and other stuff in it and it still keeps on chirping. Probably a good thing for me. I hate it when the computer does not work like I want it to.
Well, that’s all the news from the south,
Happy” farming” to all the farm girl sisters out there.
See you next time down on the farm.
