Here we are again at the beginning of a new week. I would love to say that last week was great. but with a good friend having to have emergency open heart surgery at the end of the week, well, not great, but he is doing much better today and hopefully will soon be back at resuming his life.
It is interesting how life can change in a heart beat. He had taken me out to practice with my rifle on Wednesday. Friday, he was out hunting in the back, and his leg went completely numb. He called his brother to come and get him, and within the hour he was in surgery, at the teaching hospital here in town. He had somehow ripped his aorta right next to the heart. God was certainly smiling on him, since he has lived to tell the tale.
I sent several days cleaning in both the shop and the studio room. The shop is getting better, and things are progressing there. I even got a few crosses made for the Church Bazaar which is this weekend. I of course, have a show in Orlando this weekend, which I need to get ready for as well. But next week I am going to take time for myself and just get t hings done that I want to get done, and try to clean up the studio, and finish some UFO’s ( unfinished objects) They range from crochet work to bead work to paintings, to well, everything. I keep saying that I am going to choose the things I enjoy doing the most and just do them and get rid of all the rest of the crafts, but I can not make up my mind on what they are. But I think that I am going to finish what I have especially the embroidery/cross stitch and the needle felting, and just slowly weed them out.
Well, that’s all the news from the south,
Happy” farming” to all the farm girl sisters out there.
