Wednesdays words DIY

So  I have ofter wanted to transfer a photo onto a canvass or piece of wood,  and never really knew how to do it.  I looked at a few different “recipies”., and I finally figured it out.

It is really very simple.  Take the photo that you want to copy and print it on regular paper.  Then cover it with mod podge,20190828_08133720190828_081447

and place it upside down on the wood or canvass. 20190828_081540

Smooth the paper down and make sure that there are no bubbles.  Wait 12 hours. ( next day) and then using a damp sponge, dab water onto of the photo.  Using your fingers, rub the paper  off of the print, and you will be left with the print on the wood or canvass.20190828_08120620190828_081158

As you can see I had a few areas that came up when I was rubbing the paper off.  I realized that I probably did not have enough mod podge on the edges. and that was the reason.

Also the next time I went to the big box store, I found this.20190828_081306

So I will be playing again with this tecnique.

Well,   that’s all the news from the south,
Happy” farming” to all the farm girl sisters out there.
See you next time down on the farm.
