Monday Musings

Well,  that was an univentiful hurricane for my area.  not so much for the Bahamas.  I truley hope that they cna get back on their feet without too much overwelming problems.  No electric, no water, no living areas.  I feel for those people .  I am glad that at least one of the big cruise companys has gone to help.

I have been working on getting more of my quilting caught up, to the expense of my beading and egging.  I really need to get a few bead projects done and I really need to get a egg done tonight. I have my egg done for the Easton PA show, and I need to get my paperwork turned in for that.  Then I need to figure out the sacramento show, and I need to get instructions for an egg done and sent to England to my friend for her Egg Magazine.  EEEKKK

The garden seems to have wound down from the summer and we are cleaning it up andgetting ready for fall plantings.  I have carrots, beets, tomatoes, and lettuce ready to go in, as well as some squash.  It just gets too hot here to grow the squash in summer.  But planting now in the green house, and transplanting later will get me a few squashes this year.

I am also still working on my minitures for the show next month.  I have some furniture that I have redone( removing old stain and restaining as well as repair).  I hope to have most of this done before I got to Ohio next week.  I still have some miniture quilts to make as well as some fimo vegetables.

Well,   that’s all the news from the south,
Happy” farming” to all the farm girl sisters out there.
See you next time down on the farm.
