Goodness, times can sure get away from me.  I have been home, but never got to post anything last week.  don’t know why, except that I got busy doing other things and it totally skipped my mind.

Well the garden is planted, We have ground tomatoes this year,  (wanted to try them)and several different kinds of tomatoes,  Two were volunteer from last year, and already have tomatoes on them.  We also have strawberries for the first time this year.  We got very creative and planted them in old gutters and hung them on the fence.  they have been producing the best strawberries so far.  I have been getting about a bowl full every two days.  We also have pepper plants from last year and a few new ones this year,  the carrots are winding down, and also the onions. the lettuce has gone toseed, but the kale is growing great.

I have seen some of the turkeys wandering thru the yard, and I know that the deer have been too, since they ate the tops off of all the sunflowers.  So we put up some foil plates to deter them and the sunflowers are starting to grow again.

I have been busy getting new eggs done for my shows and getting caught up on quilting.  I have a few small quilts that I hope to start this week and maybe get themfinished as well as two new eggs for the show in Dallas , which is the first weekend in June.  I have also gotten the resst of the year classes done for the shows.
