I have been hard at work in the garden, getting plants put in, and finding volunteer tomatoes in the middle of the strawberry patch. All good because I am just going to let them grow. Winter was not that hard, so that the japalenos and the other peppers did not freeze back and are already producing new peppers. I am just going to trim them up a bit, because I do have others coming in a week. I also have some sweet peppers coming, so that part of the garden will be ready for them. I am also planting several varieties of sunflowers again, They were lots of fun last year, The carrots are still growing, along with the onions, neither got too big, probably because it did not rain a lot over the winter.
I have managed to finish several little projects in the past two days, and have a few more to go. I will be happy when all the small projects are done. and I can just keep working with what I have. I really want to start painting again. but everything else is getting in the way. I need to get caught up so that I can just paint.
I also need to transplant some plants into bigger pots, and get them watered the porch drys everything out really quickly, so putting saucers underneath would be good.
Well, that’s all the news from the south,
Happy” farming” to all the farm girl sisters out there.
See you next time down on the farm.
