With all the rain, the garden had exploded, so today was canning day. The peppers, all got put up and I even got a jar of eggs. Flowers and mushrooms are blooming, and back in the woods the Easter lilies that my mom planted when I was little are in full bloom.
I also got a few projects done, because the day turned to heavy thunderstorms and lots of rain again. Of course the Farmers Almanac stated that we would have a wetter then average summer. but I don’t think they were counting on inches every time it rained. The Prairie is still flooded and seems to be going to stay that way. Ever time that I drive down I-75 or 441. I look over at all the blooming lotus and all the water birds that are wading and finding food. It is something that I have not seen since I was little. and I am glad to see it again.
Well, that’s all the news from the south,
Happy” farming” to all the farm girl sisters out there.
See you next time down on the farm.
