Even with all the rain this week, I did get out and go to the Florida Museum of Natural History. I primarily went to the butterfly exhibit, which despite the weather was very beautiful. The butterflies were out flying around and I managed to get some good photos. The museum is located on the University of Florida Campus sandwiched in between the Harn Museum of Fine Art and the Phillips Center for the Preforming Arts. It looks small from the outside, but is quite large on the inside and has many wonderful exhibits along with the butterflies.
I spent about and hour wandering thru the butterflies and parts of the rest of the museum. There were lots of beautiful flowers in bloom from the tropics and it was very peaceful and quiet.
I have lots of work to still do this week here on the farm. More canning, and weeding, another 2 inches of rain, and I am going to start building a boat. OH wait I have one. I may need it the way the weather is going. We are expecting rain every day this week.
Here are some photos from the butterfly exhibit.
Well, that’s all the news from the south,
Happy” farming” to all the farm girl sisters out there.
See you next time down on the farm.
