Woke up to rain this morning, and thought that it was going to rain all day, but it only lasted about 1 hour. We could use the rain. It left the day hot and sticky and rather miserable.
I did get to take some photos of the magnolia tree in bloom. Mom Lou’s (MIL who passed 5 years ago) agapanthus are shooting up stalks and will be blooming soon. The Ginger plant is also blooming , and hopefully the stargazer lily will grow and bloom. The wild Easter Lilies are starting to grow, and will bloom in a few weeks to a month. The tomatoes are setting buds and a few tomatoes can already be seen. the cucumbers are up, the peppers are growing, and the beets are doing good. Sunflowers are up and so are the beans and the pumpkin and who know what else is on the side there.
The chickens are producing eggs like crazy, and we are eating them almost as fast as they grow them.
The Japanese tea house is getting its roof and then the sides, the dry water bed is being designed, as well as the moon gate and the trellis over the little gate to the other house and my studio.
Well, that’s all the news from the south,
Happy” farming” to all the farm girl sisters out there.
See you next time down on the farm.
