Wednesdays Words- Spool DIY

How about some simple Ideas for using some of those spools of thread  that we always have lying around.

  1.  Make a crafty garland.  Thread spools of various sizes and colors along with wooden beads in various sizes and string them together on twine.
  2.  Make some decorative stoppers-  Glue spools to the ends of corks for a unique look
  3. Make centerpieces-   Insert the stems of flowers into the inside tubes on assorted spools.  You can add flower foam to the insides,  which you can wet with a straw.
  4.  Make a monogram-   Cut the letter of choice from thick cardboard and hot glue spools to the surface

All of these would make great gift ideas too.

It has been raining here, and I have been out in the rain trying to get things started for the warmer weather that is now here.   This morning I woke up feeling like I had been run over,  so I guess hot chocolate and warm bath are in order today.  I did manage to find some neat things to photograph in the rain,  so here are a few more from around the farm.

Well,  that’s all the news from the south,
Happy” farming” to all the farm girl sisters out there.
See you next time down on the farm.
