Well, 2018 is here, whether we were ready for it or not. I am interested to see what the year brings, yet part of me wants to hide away and pretend that I am not getting older or the years are not rushing by.

I have reflected back on what has happened on the farm this last year and am reminded that there were a lot of changes. The biggest of which was the new house being built and finally getting moved in.

Then adding to the chicken population, getting the first turkey of the season just in time for Thanksgiving. Having lunch with Winnie (Red Tractor Girl) every month at the local Cracker barrel ( we have so much fun laughing and talking) Harvesting 2 deer off the farm, ( ones that had strange antlers which meant that they did not have great genes)
I am looking forward to this year, the garden being planted , the chickens keeping us in fresh eggs, getting in some fishing time, and harvesting the fruit trees and doing some canning. I am sure that there will be other thinks that happen here, as well as all my art shows, and my studio will put out some more quilts too.
So here is to the New Year and all that it brings.
Well, that’s all the news from the south,
Happy” farming” to all the farm girl sisters out there.
See you down on the farm.
